You are entitled to a general social assistance benefit if you meet the conditions. If you don’t have enough income or assets to pay for daily expenses. And you are also not eligible for any other provision or benefit.
You are entitled to general assistance in the Netherlands if you meet the following conditions:
- you live legally in the Netherlands
- you are 18 years or older
- you do not have enough income or assets to support yourself
- you cannot rely on any other provision or benefit with which you can support yourself
- you are not in jail or a detention center
