You go back to your current education. It might be a bit strange to have to get back to work. If you’re having trouble getting back into a study rhythm, these tips are for you!
Provide a tidy workplace.
It is important to have a workplace where you can fully focus on your homework, project or exam.
Go to sleep on time.
Everyone needs about 6 to 9 hours of sleep per night. Listen carefully to your body, that way you are fresh during the day to study.
Get a diary (and use it too!).
Write down the important things so you don’t have to remember them yourself. It helps you organize your time and organize appointments and deadlines.
Have a regular eating pattern.
To get more energy it is important to eat regularly. Start your day with a good breakfast and don’t skip meals. You feel a lot fitter throughout the day.
Make a clear plan.
A good start is half the work. Make a clear overview of everything you need to do, so that you can work on it step by step.
Write notes during lecture.
During lectures, what the teacher explains is a logical story, but if you don’t take notes and have to study for an exam, it is still difficult to recall. Exams often also contain questions that you can only prepare with your notes. So make sure you type or write along during a lecture so that you can absorb the material and read it again at your leisure at home.
Put your phone away.
Not only during class, but also during your exams, your smartphone is distraction number 1. Quickly answering an app or viewing Snaps from your friends will take you out of your concentration every time. We understand that the temptation is great, but it’s such a shame! So keep your smartphone in your bag or put it away so that you can get to work undisturbed.
Enjoy your free time.
If you are not feeling well or are busy with your studies, it is difficult to do all the obligatory but also fun things. A good balance between your studies and private life is therefore important. Therefore, plan time for yourself during the weekend and fill it in with an appointment with friends, shopping or sports. This way you retain the holiday feeling a bit and you stay a lot more relaxed, which in turn benefits the hard work.
Spend less time on social media.
Agree with yourself how many hours you spend on Social Media because time really flies by there. Research has shown that young people spend an average of 2 hours a day on social media. Over a lifetime, that’s about five years. So keep an eye on the time because you are easily distracted!
Exercise a few times a week.
You get more energy when you are fitter. By exercising a few times a week you make your body stronger. Not only do you get in better shape, you also become a lot stronger physically. Your body can handle more and you become less exhausted during the day. For example, do this with a friend or opt for a team sport, then you immediately have time for social interaction!
And finally, keep in touch with your mentor or supervisor! They can always help you if you run into something.
